Safety Conditions
Before open the paste please read SDS File:ED7100 OSHA MSDS.pdf for the paste. Be sure that the following are available:
- Ventilation
Working with paste is highly recommended under a good ventilation area, the hood is a good environment for work.
- Poor Ventilation area
Wear a well fitted NIOSH approved or industrial type canister mask.[1], [2]
- Paste Splashing
1- Gloves,goggles.
2- suitable protection clothes.
3- sack of sand or absorber for cleaning the area.
Technical procedure
- Aim
ED7100 paste thickness effect on the electrical resistance of copper based material.
- a- Look at the safety conditions before using the paste.
- b- Equipment And Tools
55 to 77T polyester mesh, 200 mesh stainless steel screen, ER7 reducer, SW100, Oven, Multimeter, different shapes of Copper ( mainly 10X10 plate, wires), power supply, A pair of scissors, pliers, micrometer.
- c- Before Processing Measurements
Measure the values of the resistors of each copper shape (if possible)using the multimeter or the multimeter and the power supply.
- d- Paste Processing
1- Printing the paste using 55 to 77T polyester mesh. For tight resistances tolerance use 200 mesh stainless steel screen to reduce the distortion. try to get a uniform surface.
2- Clean the screen and stencil of the paste residues using SW100
3-Let the paste dry, recommended drying conditions are in the table below:
4- Curing for 1 - 2h 30min. at 150 - 165 degrees Celsius.(Contact the company for IR-curing)
- After Processing Measurements
Measure the resistors again after processing and summarize the result in table or figure.
