PAS Lead Tunnel

Made lead brick tube 6/4/2021

• Tunnel will need to be torn down and rebuilt as the entire exterior will need to have a layer of BorAl surrounding it. Once optimal operating point for NaI detector has been found, source in/out measurements will be made to determine signal:noise in tunnel. Will repeat the same experiment with the addition of BorAl.

• Internal measurements of rectangular tube 103mm x 152mm

• Plan to model cradle for NaI detector to put crystal in the center of the tube. Crystal is 3in in diameter (yay units)

• Hope to 3D print cradle out of ABS plastic, possible to have one machined out of aluminum too

Lead tunnel created on steel table in clean room. Detector will be mounted inside in a cradle
