Networks with IAC computers

ISU

All ISU machines (including private networks) use the DNS servers of 134.50.254.5 and 134.50.57.57

IAC/PSI

  • "real" ip addresses are 134.50.87.x
    • gateway 134.50.87.254, netmask 255.255.255.0
  • NAT router address 134.50.87.12, 134.50.87.11, 192.168.1.1
    • NAT ip config: range 192.168.x.x, gateway 192.168.1.1, netmask 255.255.0.0
    • 192.168.87.x addresses are reserved for machines that have a reserved 134.50.87.x address
  • dhcp addresses are in range 192.168.40.x

Physics

  • ip addresses are 134.50.3.x or 134.50.203.x
    • gateway 134.50.3.254 or 134.50.203.254 (as appropriate)
  • static addresses are only in 134.50.3.x range, dhcp addresses span both

Biology

  • ip addresses are 134.50.65.x or 134.50.165.x
    • gateway 134.50.65.254 or 134.50.165.254 (as appropriate)
  • No dhcp

Airport

  • dhcp
  • wired and wireless (same WEP as IAC)
  • not connected to ISU's network

  • Outside IP addresses are taken over by the other machine in the event of failure
