S2 : finished stringing yesterday

Tasks remaining:

  1. Measure all Field and Sense wire tensions prior to potting
  2. pot S2 & S3
  3. install Windows on S2 & S3
  4. install HVBs & STBs onto S2 & S3
  5. burn in S2 & S3
  6. finish Q&A on all chambers

Finished testing all Field and Sense wires in S3 last week

Almost finished testing S2 today.

David Coneff is managing two student workers and plans to finish the above remaining tasks before Jan 2014 as a part time worker. Debbie Mosbrucker and Dion Almond are working at ON semi-conductor now.

recommended steps from today's DCmeeting

  1. Try to pull loose Field and Sense wires crimp pins on either end plate. Add a drop of superglue to prevent crimp pin from sliding back until you can pot it. Note which wires have been superglued and remeasure their tension just before you pot them.
  2. Tap tight Field and Sense wires
  3. Replace wires that are still out of specification as determine by JLab
