Proposal
Purpose
We propose the construction of a beam monitoring system that will be used to optimize photon flux thereby increasing the efficiency of isotope production at least two fold. Current research on accelerator driven isotope production of Copper has shown a strong dependence of the resulting isotope activity on the ability to align the photon flux to the target isotope sample. A photon flux monitor will be constructed to measure the photon flux region and facilitate an alignment of the optimum sized sample to the highest photon flux region in order to optimize the production of isotopes.

Nitrogen tracers: N-15 is rare. If you dope nitrogen sources with it you can see where the leak into environment. This is a stable tracer so it would be able to monitor long time plume expansions.
