I acquired and installed GEMC, COATJAVA, and CED on Ubuntu 16.04. Installation instructions can be found here.
GEMC Install Notes
There was some trouble in first installing the common environment due to an awk program (mawk, in this case) segfaulting. I was able to get around this by downloading a different awk program, gawk.
