Project Leaders

Detector and Front End Electronics

The leader of this project reports on the R1 detector itself as well as the front end readout electronics.

Back End Electronics and Rotator

Th leader of this project will report on the back end readout electronics and the detector rotating system.

JLAB tests Summer-09

The hope is to test the R1 detector during the Summer of 2009 at JLAB with a setup identical to what will be used in the Hall. This means having the all cables in place (with the proper lengths) to test timing. We need CODA setup with a VME crate that has a V1495 in it for readout. We need the scintillator for triggering. Paul King won't be available until after Mid June.

Commissioning shifts Summer-2010

These shifts wil take place during the Qweak comissioning phase (5/10). We will need someone who knows how to work with the VFAT board and the V1495. Specifically programming the parameters in both for timing , ie latency registers in the VFAT and the V1495. The procedure for this should be developed during the above tests at JLAB.

Tracking shifts

During the running of Qweak we probably don't want to be there for 6 months. We will need to write a document so a shift worker or tracking expert can do tracking measurement.
