Radiation dose profiling of the TriMeV accelerator at the Idaho Accelerator Center (IAC) began with an array of Optically Stimulated Luminescence dosimeters (OSLs). The plastic casing of the OSLs are an average of 10.09mm in width with a standard deviation of 0.01mm, 9.99mm in height with a standard deviation of 0.02mm, and 1.96mm in depth with a standard deviation of 0.02mm. The OSL crystal is made of carbon doped aluminum oxide and is 5.01mm in diameter on average. This leads to an average surface area of 19.68 square mm.

The OSLs are dosed with a single shot from the TriMeV accelerator and the analyzed in the OSL reader. The OSL reader uses a photomultiplier tube, OSL sensitivity as determined by the manufacturer, and a calibration factor to determine the dose.
