I placed a photon source with trigger at various locations along the beam line and compared the resulting ToF spectrum with a Thorium target run. I shifted each time spectrum by the time light would take to travel from room center to location of the trigger, e.g. the ToF is given a +3.2 ns shift when the trigger is located at the beam dump (see image below). This was done to offset the effect of moving the trigger along the beam line.
Position [cm] | Run number | description |
---|---|---|
+162 | 5353 | against back wall |
+132 | 5354 | In center of beam dump |
+95 | 5356 | at upstream-most edge of beam dump |
0 | 5355 | Target |
-95 | 5357 | Downstream-most edge of tunnel |
-156 | 5358 | Center of tunnel |
