Preparation

[Check List]

0. MATLAB emittance analysis: (working?) -- yes

1. Magnets: --Working

2. Camera: (a)--Working, (b)--shielding-good,(c) Sync? -- good

3. Flags: --Working

4. Farady Cup: hocked up? --yes

5. Blank off for camera on? --good

6. Gas bottle for valve full? --Yes

7. Gas bottle for flags full? --Yes

8. 3 Pickup Coils (Green Torroids): (1)@gun: hocked-up; (2)@accelerator exit: hocked-up to 2 red strip wire. Now connected to linac monitor panel which labeled as "J12 from back", "Scan field Mon" from front. (3)@end of beamline:

Start List

1) Valve exit of cavity opened?

2) Faraday cups are hocked up?

3) Target in?

4) Start the camera? Turn light on and off, observe if camera working. Load run script from "C:\Documents and Settings\sadiq\My Documents\26Apr2012\Camera_Settings".

Camera triggering issue

1. camera is triggered by something?

2. When camera trig is plugged into pulse generator, pulse generator set to trigger externally, but no external trigger connected to pulse generator, and Klystron HV is on, camera triggers.

3. Is camera being triggered by the noise created by the Klystron HV?

4. We have camera grounding issue.

Quad Scanning for Emittance

En Scan at 15.6004336 MeV. Q1 is on, All other quads are off. 88.8 mAmp Peak Current.

1) Scan from -10 Amps to 10 Amps

2) Increment at 0.4 Amps.

3) Name images by numbers start from 1. Then go on.

Like: -10 Amp is 1, -9.6 Amp is 2, and so on til 10 Amp is named 51.

4) Scan multipole (10) times from -10 to 10 Amps, and put them in different folders.

5) For each time, take back ground images. It should be done when RF is on and gun is off.

6) After the scan take a scope image for the current of the FC after the OTR screen.

Scan with Q1

After scan, put the files Run "Emit_Calc_N10toP10_Q1" under "C:\Documents and Settings\sadiq\My Documents\MATLAB\Emit_Calc\15MeV\Q1" directory.

Scan with Q6

After scan, put the files Run "Emit_Calc_N10toP10_Q6" under "C:\Documents and Settings\sadiq\My Documents\MATLAB\Emit_Calc\15MeV\Q1" directory.
