9/4/12

Strung 42 Field wires on Sector 5 (now on SL1 - row 152).

Strung 48 Sense wires on Sector 6 (now on SL1 - row 189).

The Physical Science building at ISU was evacuated at approximately 1pm by the fire and police departments after someone reported the smell of natural gas. A HAZMAT team was called in and the cause was found to be gases produced in a hood in the Chemistry Department. The hood had malfunctioned. We were evacuated until 5pm.

All wires on S6 were continuity tested. S5 will be tested tomorrow.


9/5/12

Strung 63 Field wires on Sector 5 (now on SL1 - row 161). Removed pretensioner C5 at row 160.

Strung 48 Sense wires on Sector 6 (now on SL1 - row 205).

All wires strung on S5 and S6 were continuity tested to check for crossed wires.

9/6/12

Strung 21 Field wires on Sector 5 (now on SL1 - row 164).

Strung 24 Sense wires on Sector 6 (now on SL1 - row 213).

All wires strung on S5 and S6 were continuity tested to check for crossed wires.

Tension Trend tests were completed for both Sector 5 and Sector 6 chambers.

A complete cleanroom wipedown and clean was performed at the end of the work day.


9/7/12

Replaced all ceiling filters.

9/10/12

Strung 48 Field wires on Sector 5 (now on SL1 - row 171).

Strung 42 Sense wires on Sector 6 (SL1 sense wires complete).

Began complete visual inspection of Sector 6 for potential repairs and replacements.

All wires strung on S5 and S6 were continuity tested to check for crossed wires.


Sector 6 is now completely strung

9/11/12

Strung 49 Field wires on Sector 5 (now on SL1 - row 178). Removed pretensioner R5 at row 174.

Visual inspection of Sector 6 chamber, wires, crimp pins and feed throughs in preparation for feed through repair before potting.

All wires in SL1 and SL2 of Sector 6 have been tested to check for crossed wires.


9/12/12

Strung 49 Field wires on Sector 5 (now on SL1 - row 184).

Repositioned a few bent Field crimp pins on Sector 6. Retested tensions and replaced wires as necessary.

All wires strung today on Sector 5 were continuity tested for crossed wires.


9/13/12

Strung 28 Field wires on Sector 5 (now on SL1 - row 189).

All wires strung today on Sector 5 were continuity tested for crossed wires.

Removed and replaced 6 damaged feed throughs on Sector 6 (SL1 - bottom 2-5, 4-8 and 4-9. SL2 - bottom 222-5 and top 195-6 and 197-6). Pictures and a write up of the procedure used will be posted Monday.

Tension Trend tests were completed for both Sector 5 and Sector 6 chambers.

A weekly clean of the entire cleanroom was performed.


9/17/12

Strung 49 Fields on Sector 5 (now on SL1 - row 196).

All wires strung today on Sector 5 were continuity tested for crossed wires.

Replaced 4 wires on Sector 6 and began final tension testing of SL1 before potting.


9/18/12

Strung 49 Fields on Sector 5 (now on SL1 - row 203). Removed pretensioner C6 at row 200.

All wires strung today on Sector 5 were continuity tested for crossed wires.

Tested SL1 Fields on Sector 6 through row 171.


9/19/12

Strung 42 Fields on Sector 5 (now on SL1 - row 209).

All wires strung today on Sector 5 were continuity tested for crossed wires.

Tested SL1 Fields on Sector 6 from row 172 to 227.

Tested SL1 Sense on Sector 6 from row 126 to row 226.


9/20/12

Strung 7 Fields on Sector 5 (now on SL1 - row 210).

All wires strung today on Sector 5 were continuity tested for crossed wires.

Tested SL1 Sense on Sector 6 from row 3 to row 125. All testing complete in SL1.

Completed weekly Trend Tests for both Sector 5 and Sector 6.

Prepared and cleaned storage area for new chambers that will arrive on Monday.

Completed a weekly clean of the entire cleanroom.


9/21/12
