Goals

Use NaI to measure Y-88 coincidence lines of 1836 and 898 keV

Runlist

Run Description
6559 Coincidence run with Na-22 1 uCi source # 129742, ADC7 = HpGe, ADC3 = NaI, TDC16 = HpGe, TDC19 = NaI, Na-22's 1.2 keV photon is in channel 3600 for the HpGe detector and channel 500 for the NaI; need to decrease gain on HpGe so Y-88's 1.8 keV photon is in the ADC range
6560 Changed HpGe spec amp integration from 0.5 usec shaping time to 0.25 and ran in singles mode
6561 Running in coincidence mode, rate changed from about 70 Hz to about 2 Hz
6562 Running in OR mode with activated Y-88 sample #130100-010
6575 same conditions as run 6571 but with activated Y-88 sample #130100-010

Calibration

calibrate with Na-22 (511,1200), Co-60 (1.2, 1.3), Mn-54 (), Cs-137 (662 keV)

Calibration runs

Cd=109 has coincidence lines at 203 & 250 keV

Run Description
6567 Singles run with only NaI detector and Co-60 source
6568 singles runs with only HpGe detector and Co-60 source
6569 OR mode, both detectors, 3k DAQ trigger rate. Co-60 1 uCi source # 129739
6570 Running in OR mode with Mn-54 source # 129806 700 Hz
6571 Running in OR mode with only NaI in trigger and Mn-54 source, increased threshold from 10 mV to 40 mV to count more high energy photons
6572 same as run 6571 but using Na-22 1 uCi source # 129742, October 31, 2013 5:19:47 PM MDT, 1383239987-1383240130= 143 second
6573 same as run 6571 but using Co-60 1 uCi source # 129739
6574 same as run 6571 but using and used Cs-137 1 uCi source #129793

The NaI-22 measured rate was 803.2 events/sec while the Y-88 rate was about 30.6 event/sec.

A rough estimate is that the Y-88 activity is less than 0.1 uCi.
