We just received authorization for electrons into the experimental cell.

PMT HV = 1120 Volts Disciminator = 200 mV

Before doing that we made measurements in the accelerator hall using a scintillator. An aluminum brick was placed in front of the scintillator in order to determine gamma contamination.

We were able to accelerate electrons to the Accelerator side of the 1/8 inch collimator and get a rate of 60 Hz within the Gun pulse and zero electron were observed outside the gun pulse. In other words the Field emmision electrons were almost eliminated. Although the gun pulse was 100 ns long we observed a pulse width on the scintilator that was about 200 ns long.
