To determine the average dose per pulse of the 25b linac at the Idaho Accelerator Center, Nanodot Optically Stimulated Luminescence Dosimeters (OSLs) are employed. Nanodot OSLs are 1cm+/- by 1cm+/- plastic squares with an inlaid, circular carbon-doped aluminum oxide crystal. The average diameter of the crystals is 0.501cm+/- with a thickness of 0.03cm+/-. The crystal is shielded on all sides by ABS plastic during use and storage, but can be opened for inspection and reading.

Each OSL is tagged with a unique serial number, which is used to attach a set of coordinates to help with data analysis in experiments. Having the position of each OSL logged during experiments yields off axis dose information as well as reconstruction of radiation field intensity as a function of position.

To clear the OSLs, each was subject to a typical "happy light." Each OSL was read prior to use which allows for background subtracted doses and PMT Counts to be used in the calibration and experimental setting.
