There will be 4 targets that will be placed in the beam. Each sample of the selenium pellets had to be under 0.5g to meet waste restrictions. The 4 samples are as follows: one empty aluminum cylinder, one aluminum cylinder with only soil, one aluminum cylinder with a 50% ratio of soil to selenium, and one aluminum cylinder with a 10% ratio of soil to selenium. The selenium targets were prepared by measuring the mass of the sample, then putting a front nickel foil and a back nickel foil around the selenium pellets and wrapping the whole target in Kapton tape. The mass of an empty cylinder is 32.65g

Selenium Target 1 Mass (g)
Front Ni Foil 0.27
Rear Ni Foil 0.25
Se Mass 0.46
Mass of Kapton 0.54
Total Mass 1.52

Selenium Target 2 Mass (g)
Front Ni Foil 0.23
Rear Ni Foil 0.26
Se Mass 0.49
Mass of Kapton 0.65
Total Mass 1.62

To make the 50% ratio sample, use 0.46g of soil in the aluminum cylinder with Se Target 1

To make the 10% ratio sample, use 4.9g of soil in the aluminum cylinder with Se Target 2
