Mylar Linear Small Deflection
Shapes Considered for calculating the Percentage error in results
- Square with rectangular approach of 100mm x 100mm with a thickness of 0.0254mm
- Circle with a radius of 50mm and thickness of 0.0254mm
- Actual Size of the sheet with 0.254mm Thick
Square Section
Ansys Analysis
Total Deformation observed in ANSYS is 1016.6 mm and by hand calculation it is observed to be 1108.6mm
Hand Calculations
Circular Section
Ansys Analysis
The Maximum total deformation is observed to be 789.93mm
Hand Calculations
Actual Mylar sheet with Thickness of 0.254mm
